AMGDB promotes connection and collaboration among chairs and other senior leaders of research-focused biochemistry departments.

We foster mutual support and the exchange of information and best practices to strengthen research, teaching, and training across our member institutions and promote scientific advocacy and inclusion to ensure the vitality and impact of the field for future generations.

Our primary activities are an annual meeting to promote connection and discussion, and maintenance of a database of information and best practices that is accessible as a resource for members. We also hold periodic additional gatherings and events and work with and support the teaching mission of the Association of Biochemistry Educators (ABE).
