Morning visit to the Palomino Islands. Your excursion includes four islands: 'San Lorenzo', cemetery of sailors and pirates during colonial times and later scientific center for important researchers like Charles Darwin; 'El Fronton', where you will see the old prison; 'Cavinzas', a former guano’s exploitation site, today paradise of pelicans, cormorants and many other birds. Discover your culinary talents by spending time with a professional chef. During a visit to a local market, you will learn about some of the ingredients you will use to prepare the dishes – and more! During this cooking class, you will sample a total of 8 items, including four fruits, a causa, and a ceviche that you will prepare yourself following the recipes and tips of your experienced chef. You will also taste the famous Pisco Sour and a traditional dessert.

Group City Tour, Larco Herrera Museum & Dinner

Head downtown and explore the center of Lima and its impressive sights. As you wander through the Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Martin, it is hard not to be intrigued by its diverse architecture. Your guide will introduce you to the city's architectural heritage before heading to Casa Aliaga, the oldest colonial house in Latin America, which is owned by the Aliaga family and their descendants. Francisco Pizarro granted this ancient temple to one of his followers Jeronimo de Aliaga in 1535. It features a series of salons that represent life in Lima in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Next, your visit to the Larco museum will take you on a journey into the legacy of pre-Inca cultures and the context in which they developed. The museum's galleries offer a detailed look at 3,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history. Its masterpieces are considered worldwide icons of pre-Columbian art and have been displayed in the world's most renowned museums, and the museum itself is an attraction, as it was built on top of a pre-Inca pyramid from the 7th century. After the comprehensive introduction to the Peruvian culture you will be introduced to Peruvian gastronomy at a delicious and relaxing dinner at Café del Museo. Barranco Area Walking Tour

The district of Barranco may be the smallest of Lima’s 43 neighborhoods, but it is certainly one of its most prominent and romantic. Barranco has long been the epicenter of Lima’s cultural elite, attracting artists; writers; designers and photographers for many generations, with its bohemian heyday coming during the 1960s and 70s. The area is well-known for its selection of fantastic local eateries, ice cream and cozy coffee shops. Visit charming boutiques, awash with traditional handmade garments and jewelry, ornaments and pottery from all over Peru, before heading to the 'Bridge of Sighs' which connects Barranco’s two main parks and offers fantastic views of the district and nearby 19th century chapel. The beauty of this walk is as much in the absorbing of cultural heritage, style and artistic flair as it is the individually significant sites themselves. Paso Horse Show & Lunch

Located in Lurin Valley, a 30-minute drive from Lima, the Hacienda Los Ficus offers a tour of the stables, an introduction of its history and performance of the Paso Horse. Paso horses, a symbol of pride for Peruvians and a national heritage, are a natural breed of horses that walk with a unique gait. Group Dinner: Huaca Pucllana Ruins

Visit and explore Huaca Pucllana (wah-kah pook-yan-ah) an impressive archaeological site standing out among modern constructions in downtown Lima. The sacred pyramid, made from small handmade bricks, was built by the original inhabitants of Lima in the 5th century. You will tour its ceremonial and administrative areas as well as its small museum, and enjoy a panoramic view from the 72-foot high pyramid top. Afterwards, we will head to the adjacent La Huaca Restaurant for a wonderful farewell buffet dinner set in the archaeological complex of Huaca Pucllana - the main dining room, featuring a mix of rustic colonial and minimalist décor, is a cozy place to dine and the best spot for superb evening views of the illuminated pyramid from the covered outdoor terrace. Join us for our final farewell Peruvian dinner in an amazing historic location as we celebrate our time in Lima together before heading home.
